Community Group Meeting 19 October 2004

Agenda Items

• Documentation for 0.4 in good shape.
• Copyright stuff: a few addresses bounced. Ducky to look at those addresses with Pieter to see what they added.
• It would be interesting to see stats on how many bytes on the wiki are generated by whom...
• Chandler is getting some exposure via Educause. Can we leverage that? Are we ready to take advantage of opportunities if we did? Probably not.
• Ted out next week, will be on site the following week. We need to start talking about 0.5 goals when he's here.
• When Ted's here, we might have an "orientation to Open Source Projects and how they work".

Action Items from last meeting

• Ted to start coordinating with working groups re PyCon and 0.4 goals.
• Pieter to work on the ZeroPointFourGuidedTour.
• Pieter to coordinate 0.4 launch party. Pieter delegated to Lori and Blue
• Ducky to write a tutorial based on Morgen's servlets.
• Ducky to wait two weeks for any objections to our new copyright policy to come in, then change the copyright.
• Ducky to clean up the contributor-finding/listing script and give it to Creative Commons.
• Ducky to coordinate fleshing out a DeveloperDogfood^? wiki page.
• Ducky to write up first pass of Community FAQ.
• Mitchell to update the LicensingTopics page before 0.4. Mitchell has feedback for Web pages, but wiki page needs updating
• Mitchell to put out a draft contributor license.
• Mitchell to decide if she needs to put out a separate draft contributor license specifically for PyLucene
