Agenda and Notes

Chandler

wx svn build

  • wx repo created
  • cvs branch initialized, Robin sent an email on this
  • Bear wrote a tool in Python to pull the comments from CVS and get the same comments in SVN. This is a tool that could be of interest for other Open Source project. Heikki suggested to make this code public.
  • Action Bear: need to create a project page on the Wiki to cover that tool
  • All of this will be ready by middle of this week (Bear needs to switch to Cosmo 0.4 by Wednesday)
  • As soon as we have the hardware, we'll run the Tinderboxes for wx

Mac Intel

  • We should get the hardware this week
  • Once done, Bear will ship Portnoy here

Performance tests

  • At risk right now for 0.7alpha3 : the perf tests we have hang often. Andi posted a fix last week.

  • Heikki will need help from QA on this
  • We won't have enough background for alpha3 to evaluate performance progress backed by data

Tinderbox status and plans

  • 1 Linux machine needs to be updated to Ubuntu
  • Memory upgrade has been done last week for Paniolo

  • Functional and perf tests work in this new framework
  • Main differences: logger much easier to use, stability improved a lot, capture tracebacks consistently
  • Mikeal to send an email announcement to the list
  • Heikki concerned by the way the new timer works. Mikeal and Heikki to work out the difference with the old system.

Cosmo/Scooby

  • This week will be busy for Cosmo 0.4 (BCM going in vacation next week)
  • QA also will be busy with this, Mikeal to work on this
  • Scooby will be over busy for another couple of weeks
