I don't have time to play with is this weekend, but basecamp is supposed to be really good -- might be worth checking out...

Its a web-based product management tool, designed by usability specialist/user centered design folks.

It looks very cool (they have a Dashboard too)

Pieter, Chao...Their tour is exactly what we need for Chandler.

I think the process of writing up an informal spec for what a Chandler Tour would include would be a great exercise in figuring out if we have any feature holes...basically can we tell a compelling story about what you can do with Chandler...OR...are there some stories where the basic features will be in place, but it won't be clear to the user why they would use those features until other more advanced features are in place? (I'm thinking of the Dashboard view in particular.)

My main concern with basecamp is their notion of dates for the dashboard. Does a Todo appear in the Dashboard because it's due on a particular day or because it was added on a particular day? The former seems more useful than the latter, but I think the latter might be how it actually works?

But the UI is very clean and they have this notion of organizing projects primarily by Client...which from the LPFI interviews I'm feeling like should be more and more important...Basically it feels like a lot of people implicitly prioritize their tasks by "WHO" or "WHAT ENTITY" owns the task. Even if we don't have a contacts manager, we may need to consider how to work in this 4th crucial dimension to how people manage their information. (The other 3 being Triage status, Kind and Collection).
