Status
Brian
- Fixed a number of bugs this week including an index out of range error in unread mail, support for non-TOP POP3 servers, a focus issue with account dialogs in Windows, and helped with other developers bugs including Heikki's issues with SSL and dialogs in Linux.
- I implemented 90% of the Chandler IMAP4 Server for POP users. Mimi and I have started discussion on how best to add this feature to the Chandler UI.
- We are also discussion how best to add a "Relink my Chandler Folders" feature to the account UI. This would solve the case where the user has already configured Chandler folders on the server but has to re-enter the account info again in Chandler (A new repo etc).
- I am currently working on bug 8065: Mail Error. With large inboxes the IMAP4 Server search for Chandler Headers can exceed the timeout limit on the first check when it has to scan every message. The solution is to lower the number of messages per search and have the Mail Service rather than the server control the search logic. It won't make it any faster but will both prevent timeouts and allow the Chandler UI to display status messages to let the user know the search is taking place.
- Once I complete 8065, I will continue working on the Edit / Update workflows which I sent comments to the list on last week.
- When Edit / Update is in a good place I will continue with my IMAP4 Server for POP users.
Bryan
- Working on triageStatus while working on a still-changing spec (is not an effective way to reach closure)
- Haven't gotten back to working on the edit/update DV UI tasks I took from Reid yet.
Jeffrey
- Did some CalDAV sharing debugging, found a reason I wasn't duplicating errors (there was different behavior if debug was set), hopefully fixed some of the problems
- Did EIM EventModification? import and export
- Fixed the annoying recurring events in calendar bug
- Worked on diagnosing other dogfood bugs
- Changed timezones to use the new Olson db defaults, like America/Los_Angeles
- Treat different names for the same timezone as the same, so PST doesn't show up in the calendar for them
- Fixed a Microsoft new-timezone error making import of events in the past from recent Outlook versions possible
- Took a look at freebusy to see if it could be cheaply resurrected, sadly there's a fair bit broken there, so it's not worth more time before preview
John
- Continued to fix bugs in script recording
- Implemented sidebar resizing with Andi
- Fixed Bug#8001: Changing triage status in search results crashes Chandler (NotImplementedError?)
- Fixed Bug#7954: Search results not cleared from one search to the next
- Fix Bug#7956: None Type error switching to calendar view after searching
- Fix Bug#7971: Sidebar should grey out sidebar icons when displaying search results in the Calendar app area
- Tracked down a bunch of other bugs and passed along to the appropriate person
- Made a pass through my bugs for Preview, but still have a bunch of New bugs to triage
- Spent way too long working on Bug#8117: Minicalendar not aligned at startup without any success.
- I'll be leaving for Utah sometime next week, working remotely and returning at the beginning of April
Philippe
- Lots of bug triaging: moved all 0.7alpha6 bugs to alpha5 or Future, worked with dev on bug priority, Bug Council duties, etc...
- 0.7alpha5 Dogfooding and bug logging
- Dump and Reload: participated to the meeting and logged tasks
- Autotriage: detailed spec reading and discussion on the list
- Intern recruting plans
Reid
- Fixed Bug#8121: quick entry field is missing in Ubuntu
- Fixed Bug#8084: NameError on paste
- Spent time on task Bug#6764: Implement expando Date Time field
- key difficulty is one editor for editing more than one attribute
- trying a black that hides/shows its children blocks instead of an integrated, all-in-one control
Robin
- Preparing for a wxPython 2.8.2.0 release, including chasing bugs and making preview builds.
- The wx port of WebKit is making progress. Serveral build system issues have been straightened out, basic drawing of web pages is functional, although still with a few glitches here and there. Still quite a ways to go. I'm working on getting it to build with MSVC.Net 2003 (so it can be used in an extension module for the stock Python builds) and also switching over to using wxGraphicsContext for the platform-specific graphics layer. Kevin is working on getting enough of the other platform-specific infrastructure and a application shell in place so it can be used as a mostly fully functional web browser.
- Various community support activities via email and IRC.
