0.6

We'll have an 0.6 debrief Monday afternoon. Katie and Sheila to call for the meeting and organize.

Download update : 700 so far, 200 downloads a week. As a point of comparison, Chandler 0.4 totaled 12,000 downloads.

We've seen some new comers to the lists and people contacted some of us individually on projects. Very exciting!

Bug candidates for 0.6.1? Let's be conservative and limit this to the strict necessary bug fixes. We need to push people toward downloading our milestones rather thatn waiting months for updates anyway (that also means that our milestones need to be of high quality).

Specs and 0.7

Not much update on this last week of course.

Priscilla Chung will begin on Monday, January 9. Will be doing design for the Scooby client and Chandler website.

Sheila and Mimi to held a design meeting every Thursday at 1pm.

Bryan demoed cc and bcc fields in DV as well as autocompletion for location and date time fields. Very cool!

Engineering

  • CSG : Mitch, Katie, Mimi at a CSG meeting Thursday at Duke. Mimi will do a presentation on triage, Katie on our plan (Chandler, Cosmo and Scooby) and Mitch on the overall strategy (as well as a demo).
  • Pycon : Let me know ASAP if you want to go this year. We need to register before January 15th. Pycon will be in Dallas from February 24 to 26. More info on Pycon 2006.

People

  • Robin : Robin is back with us after an almost 6 months hiatus and will be working with us more closely than ever. He'll now be dialing in our weekly Apps meetings and will be coming at our end of January sprint.
  • Markku Mielityinen : wx intern. Philippe to complete the employer training plan.
  • 2006 performance review project : It's this time of the year again... Lori redesigned the form this year. Stay tuned.

    • generic: improved handling of corrupted GIF files
  • cleaned up a bunch of official wxMac and generic sources
