This is a first shot: the data are raw, don't take them too seriously... breeze deeply...
Just based on raw data though, we see that the amount of "bug fixing" is big: 1 to 2 months...
Ways to mitigate
Get everyone to use a development environment so that everyone can debug wxWidgets issues
Work with Mimi and Design so that we tweak the Design to be closer to existing Widgets instead of reinventing some when we don't need to
Use Robin as a resource for some of the general wxWidgets issues
Specs & Documentation
Sheila will own the Spec process: we (devs) still need to contribute to the spec writing though
Doc: Parcel tutorial needs a revision (in the CSG perspective). John and Alec will work on that.
Task Tracking & Processes
Bug bash: sort of irrelevant for Apps right now since we are basicaly in bug fix mode now...
Check points and milestones: sounds good. Philippe to put up a plan with the team and sync up with Lisa on an overall Chandler basis
Components to update: let's not forget that in the schedule: SWIG 1.3.24 and wxPython 2.5.5 of course (already assigned to David) but also Python, FC3 (or 4), OS X 10.4 (Tiger), Subversion, etc...
Use of Eclipse: John to spend a couple of days on this this week and report to the team. Hope is: we'll have a good usable X-platform environment to develop and debug the wxWidgets C++
CSG Meeting: Coming up April 21st and 22th. John and Alec to spend some time on this.
