Plan for 0.4.06 milestone

  • WxPythonProject: native header widget (David) not done -- by next week
  • WxPythonProject: xp theme build problems resolved (David) we expect to be in this milestone
  • CpiaFramework: sidebar kind filter/application bar (John) not done -- by next week
  • CalendarBlocksProject: calendar view navigation (Katie) checked in -- not yet integrated with minical
  • CpiaFramework: SWIG and check in mini-calendar (Jed) we expect to be in this milestone
  • DetailViewProject: Add transparency choice, allday/anytime and datetime editing (Bryan) done
  • DetailViewProject: Email attachment count display (Bryan) not done
  • Sharing invitation updates (Bryan) not done

Plan for 0.4.07 milestone (feature freeze)

Not going to make .5 release

  • Deletion and trash (we will make sure you can remove an item from a particular collection)

Notes

  • Jed would like to add SWIG and bake to the build -- he and David will follow up with Heikki. We anticipate this will make it much easier to make certain kinds of widgets changes (adding a new control, for example, where it needs to be swigged and new files are added to the build). Build pain has slowed us down a lot in this release, with the mini calendar and the header widget.
  • The application filter is John's top priority, we hope to see it in a few days.
  • Bryan, Morgen, Sheila, Mimi, Aparna, etc. will meet Thursday at 3 to go over sharing workflows (invitations, other details).
  • Bryan, John, Alec, and Katie (and anyone else who is interested) will meet Thursday at 4 to talk about trees of blocks
  • We'll have a meeting on Thursday to talk about sidebar and sharing.

Status

Katie

  • CalendarBlocksProject: hope to check in navigation, all-day area, and some visual improvements today
  • DeveloperPlatformProject: Alec is going to take zaobao related tasks.
  • I'd like to meet with Bryan (and perhaps John and Alec) sometime this week to talk about detail-view-tree-of-blocks and attribute editors.

John's status

Bryan

  • Sickly most of last week
  • Working on attachment indicator (hopefully for today's milestone) and addressing my growing pile o' bugs.
  • Sharing invitation updates won't happen in 4.06; tree-of-blocks swapping and sickness slowed me down.
  • 4.06 does have the allDay/anyTime interaction with time entry, however.

Alec's status

  • Fixed some minor UI bugs - grid reset problem, about window, etc.
  • checkins delayed due to delays in getting my CVS account activated (but I have CVS access now)
  • Started ZaoBao? cleanup - content model and integration into existing summary view and detail view

Morgen

  • Sharing bug fixes
  • Removed the concept of "externalUUID"
  • Beefed up the sharing error-handling/retry logic
  • Misc. servlet tweaks, especially switching the servlets to use the main thread's repository view
  • Working with Jeffrey on iCalendar export which is somewhat working; also working towards CalDAV interop
  • Started working on a "multi" format class for sharing which will determine what serialization format to use (iCalendar, vCard, CloudXML) depending on each item's kind.

Jed

  • Finished up SWIG'ing of minicalendar and integrating it into chandler. Working with David to get the make install build up so that I can check in my python code.
  • Fixed a few display issues (sidebar resizing, toolbar width, some border issues).
  • Working on DnD bugs.
  • Sick for a few days.

David's status

  • more Column Header UI work
    • initial Win32 implementation complete
    • working on wxControl/wxRenderer implementation
  • almost finished with (will make this milestone):
    • finishing XP theme manifest files integration
    • Jed's mini-calendar build integration
  • for more info, see WxPythonProjectZeroPointFivePlanning?
