Cosmo Server Administrator Documentation

This manual assumes that you have some experience configuring and running a J2EE servlet engine or application server.

Distributions

The Cosmo WAR is distributed as part of the OSAF server bundle that provides a preconfigured application server that you can start up right out of the box. ServerBundleAdministrator provides additional documentation for those running the server bundle.

The WAR can also be deployed into any Tomcat servlet engine. There is not yet a WAR-only distribution, but until there is one, the WAR, sample config files, and dependent library jars can be taken from the server bundle. CosmoTomcat provides complete instructions.

Other J2EE application servers and servlet engines haven't been fully tested, but should be supported. See instructions on how to get cosmo working in other app servers.
