OSAF Server Bundle Administrator Documentation

The OSAF server bundle includes everything you need to run Cosmo right out of the box. There's no need to configure external web servers, servlet engines or databases.

The major components of the server bundle are:

• Tomcat 5.5 HTTP servlet engine
• Derby 10.4.1.3 embedded database
• MySQL Connector/J 5.0.4 for connecting to MySQL 5 databases
• Postgres JDBC driver for connecting to Postgres 8.2 databases
• migration component to migrate from previous versions of the server
• Chandler Server webapp

All components are preconfigured, and the entire installation is contained within a single directory.

This manual assumes that you have some experience configuring and running a servlet engine or application server.
